The City of Dexter is seeking qualified applicants for employment for a full-time position for the Sanitation Department. High School diploma required. Recreation Programmer

Recreation Programmer

Department: Parks & Recreation

Location: City of Dexter, Missouri
Status: Full-Time | Reports to: Parks & Recreation Director


Position Summary:
The City of Dexter is hiring a full-time Recreation Programmer to coordinate and implement recreational programs with a focus on track and field, soccer, baseball, and softball. The position also includes maintenance of parks and athletic facilities.


Key Duties:
Plan and manage youth and adult sports programs and leagues.
Recruit and supervise seasonal staff and volunteers.
Assist with marketing and community outreach.
Maintain parks and fields (mowing, lining, dragging, setting bases).
Ensure safety and cleanliness of facilities.
Maintain program records and assist with scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field preferred.
1+ year of experience in recreation or parks maintenance.
Experience in organizing or coaching youth sports.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment.
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug test.

Working Conditions:
Indoor/outdoor work in all weather.
Must lift up to 50 lbs.
Evening/weekend hours as needed.

Compensation:
Salary based on experience. Full benefits included.
