Spring E-Waste Collection Events

Recycle your old electronics

The Bootheel Solid Waste Management District will host E-Waste Recycle Collection Day events across the district this March and April to help divert electronic waste from local landfills.

Almost any electronic item that plugs into the wall or uses a battery will be accepted. Acceptable items include TVs, computer equipment, copiers, appliances, items containing refrigerant, and power tools.

Unacceptable items include alkaline batteries, CDs/DVDs, VHS tapes, chemicals and hazardous materials, liquids, cylinders, tanks, PCB-containing ballasts, light bulbs, smoke detectors, exit signs, glass lamps, and fluorescent tubes.

These events are open to residents of Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, and Stoddard counties. Grant funding through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources allows collections from individuals only. Businesses and schools are not eligible.
