The City of Dexter recently received three new recycling trailers through an award from the Bootheel Solid Waste Management District.

The new trailers replace three older units that were fabricated in 1997. The retired trailers were donated to nearby communities to continue supporting recycling efforts in the region.

Dexter continues to offer four recycling trailer locations:

• Harps Grocery Store Parking Lot
• East South Main & North Locust
• West South Main & North Catalpa
• Mallory Street off Business 60

Accepted materials include aluminum cans, computer paper, newspapers, magazines, corrugated cardboard, and plastic water bottles and jugs (#1 and #2 plastics only). Please rinse plastic containers and remove caps before recycling. Shredded paper is not accepted.
